Manual Machinist - Tulsa, OK

1st Shift - M-Th - 7a-5:30p, possible OT on Friday

Our client has built an impeccable reputation in the aerospace industry for quality, performance and on-time deliveries of components and assemblies to the global aerospace industry.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform manual machining
• Reaming and boring tight tolerance bores
• Setup complex aerospace parts
• Utilize measuring instruments
• Bore Gauge, air gauge, tri mic,mics, calipers and height gage
• Tolerances down to - .0004"

Required Skills:

• The ability to read and write English.
• An introductory competence in shop math such as working with fractions and decimals.
• A basic knowledge of inspection tools and their proper use.
• A basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical application regarding nuts and bolts.
• A basic knowledge of part holding methods and procedures.
• A basic knowledge of deburr tools and methods.
• The ability to interact with computers and CNC controls at a basic level.
• Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier calipers
• Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
• Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts.

Required Experience:

• This position requires basic experience working with mechanical processes and methods such as hand tools, and light equipment such as saws, drills and pneumatic tools.
• 0-2 years of experience

Level of Education:

GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
